CVE-2025-12739
HighCVSS 7.3Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk22th percentile - higher than 22% of all known CVEs
Summary
An attacker with viewer permissions in Looker could craft a malicious URL that, when opened by a Looker admin, would execute an attacker-supplied script. Exploitation required at least one Looker extension installed on the instance.
Risk Assessment
A malicious script could execute in the context of an administrator, potentially leading to session hijacking and unauthorized actions within the Looker instance. Both Looker-hosted and self-hosted instances were affected.
Recommendation
For self-hosted instances, upgrade as soon as possible to versions 24.18.201+, 25.0.79+, 25.6.66+, 25.12.7+, 25.16.0+, 25.18.0+ or 25.20.0+. Looker-hosted instances have already been mitigated and require no user action.
