Summary

The WP Import – Ultimate CSV XML Importer for WordPress plugin in all versions up to and including 7.33 is vulnerable to unauthorized access of sensitive information due to a missing authorization check on the showsetting() function. This allows authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher to extract sensitive information, including OpenAI API keys configured through the plugin's admin interface.

Risk Assessment

Users with Author-level access can obtain OpenAI API keys and other sensitive configuration data, potentially leading to unauthorized use of those keys and associated costs.

Recommendation

Upgrade the WP Import plugin to a version later than 7.33. If exposure is suspected, revoke and regenerate the OpenAI API keys configured in the plugin.
