Summary

The Squirrels Auto Inventory plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via admin settings in all versions up to and including 1.0.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.

Risk Assessment

An attacker with administrator privileges can inject malicious scripts that may steal user data, hijack sessions, or modify page content, posing a serious threat to integrity and confidentiality.

Recommendation

Update the plugin to the latest version if available, and ensure unfiltered_html is enabled only for trusted administrators. Restrict access to admin settings.
