CVE-2025-12485
HighCVSS 8.8Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk47th percentile - higher than 47% of all known CVEs
Summary
Improper privilege management during pre-MFA cookie handling in Devolutions Server allows a low-privileged authenticated user to impersonate another account by replaying the pre-MFA cookie. This does not bypass the target account MFA verification step. This issue affects versions 2025.3.2.0 through 2025.3.5.0 and 2025.2.15.0 and earlier.
Risk Assessment
A low-privileged user can impersonate another account, potentially leading to unauthorized access to resources and privilege escalation within the organization.
Recommendation
Upgrade Devolutions Server to a version later than 2025.3.5.0 or 2025.2.15.0. Monitor for unusual authentication attempts and verify session cookie integrity.
