Summary

The SurveyFunnel – Survey Plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'surveyfunnel_lite_survey' shortcode in all versions up to and including 1.1.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can inject malicious scripts that execute in visitors' browsers, potentially leading to data theft, session hijacking, or malware distribution.

Recommendation

Update the SurveyFunnel plugin to the latest version. Additionally, restrict contributor permissions and regularly audit content.
