Summary

The WP Delete Post Copies plugin for WordPress (all versions up to and including 6.0.2) is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via admin settings due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. An authenticated attacker with administrator-level permissions or above can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages that execute whenever a user accesses the injected page; this only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.

Risk Assessment

An attacker with administrator permissions can persistently inject malicious JavaScript that executes in users' browsers, enabling session theft or further takeover of the site.

Recommendation

Update the WP Delete Post Copies plugin to a version newer than 6.0.2 once a fix is available, and limit administrator accounts to the minimum necessary.
