Low risk22th percentile - higher than 22% of all known CVEs
Summary
The School Management System – WPSchoolPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'SCodes' parameter in all versions up to and including 2.2.23 due to insufficient escaping and lack of preparation on the SQL query. This allows authenticated attackers with administrator-level access and above to append additional SQL queries to extract sensitive information from the database.
Risk Assessment
An attacker with administrator privileges can extract sensitive data from the database, such as passwords or user data. This could lead to data confidentiality breaches and further attacks.
Recommendation
Immediately update the plugin to the latest version that includes security fixes. Also consider restricting administrator privileges and monitoring logs for suspicious activity.
