Summary

In Keycloak's server distribution, enabling debug mode (--debug <port>) insecurely defaults to binding the JDWP port to all network interfaces (0.0.0.0), exposing the debug port to the local network.

Risk Assessment

An attacker on the same network segment could attach a remote debugger and achieve remote code execution within the Keycloak Java virtual machine.

Recommendation

Do not enable debug mode in production or restrict JDWP binding to localhost, and update Keycloak to a patched version.
