CVE-2025-11167
MediumCVSS 4.7Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk11th percentile - higher than 11% of all known CVEs
Summary
The CM Registration plugin for WordPress (versions up to and including 2.5.6) is vulnerable to Open Redirect. This is due to insufficient validation of the redirect URL supplied via the 'redirect_url' parameter. An unauthenticated attacker can redirect users to a potentially malicious site if they can trick them into performing an action.
Risk Assessment
Attackers can abuse user trust in the site to redirect them to phishing or malicious pages, potentially leading to credential theft or malware infection.
Recommendation
Update the CM Registration plugin to a version later than 2.5.6 as soon as it becomes available, or consider disabling it until a fix is released.
