Summary

The Eulerpool Research Systems plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'aaq' shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes.

Risk Assessment

An authenticated attacker with contributor-level access and above can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages that execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This may lead to session theft or account takeover.

Recommendation

Update the Eulerpool Research Systems plugin to a version later than 4.0.1. Until then, consider restricting contributor privileges or disabling the plugin.
