CVE-2024-53981

Heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Apache Thrift C++ THeaderTransport. When an application enables the ZLIB transform for the frames it sends, THeaderTransport::transform() copies the compressed frame into the write buffer without making sure it fits. Data that does not compress, such as content a remote peer supplied, grows under compression, so the copy writes past the end of the heap buffer, and for large frames it also reads past the end of the transform buffer.

A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in protocol gateways' account management interface. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient length validation of the `account_name` parameter when processing account management requests. An attacker authenticated as a read-only user to the web management interface could supply a specially crafted account name that exceeds the size of the internal stack buffer, resulting in corruption of program execution flow.

The WPMobile.App – Android and iOS App Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 11.82. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to exfiltrate password-reset URLs for arbitrary users, including administrators, mirrored into the push queue by the mail-to-push feature, and use those URLs to take over the targeted accounts.

The JSON API Auth plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via Cached Session Cookie Disclosure in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.2. The vulnerability exists because the required PI-Media/json-api parent plugin caches controller dispatch results in transients keyed solely by URI and query string, ignoring HTTP method and POST body; this causes the `generate_auth_cookie()` endpoint to serve that cached authenticated response to any subsequent unauthenticated GET request to the same URI.

Improper input validation in DHAgreement.CalculateAgreement (MTI/A0 two-pass Diffie-Hellman) in Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. bc-csharp before 2.7.0 allows an on-path attacker to make the local party compute an agreed value the attacker already knows, defeating the key authentication MTI/A0 is meant to provide. It also allows a malicious peer to learn the local static private key modulo the small factors of p-1, and to recover it entirely in groups with many such factors.

The Super Forms – Drag & Drop Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 6.3.316 via the parse_request function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. The optional 'file_upload_auth' setting defaults to empty, meaning no authentication is required in the default configuration.

The Divi Membership plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass in all versions up to and including 2.3.0. The process_paypal_callback function accepts a base64-encoded paypal_param GET parameter with no IPN validation, no cryptographic signature check, no ownership verification, and no nonce, allowing login as any existing user, including administrators.
