Summary

In the Linux kernel, the Bluetooth subsystem (hci_event) aligns the BR/EDR JUST_WORKS pairing method with LE. The change now requires user confirmation for JUST_WORKS pairing, consistent with policies of tools like bluetoothd.

Risk Assessment

The change may affect the Bluetooth pairing process, but does not introduce direct security risk; it may require updating service configurations.

Recommendation

Apply a Linux kernel update containing this change and review bluetoothd configuration to adapt to the new pairing behavior.
