Summary

The User Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in versions up to and including 3.0.1 via deserialization of untrusted input from the 'profile-pic-url' parameter. This allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level permissions and above to inject a PHP Object.

Risk Assessment

The absence of a POP chain in the vulnerable plugin means that an attacker could leverage additional plugins or themes to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.

Recommendation

It is recommended to update the plugin to the latest version and review installed plugins and themes to minimize risk.
