CVE-2023-30985
LowCVSS 3.3Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk9th percentile - higher than 9% of all known CVEs
Summary
A vulnerability in Solid Edge SE2023 (versions < V223.0 Update 3 and < V223.0 Update 2) is an out-of-bounds read past the end of an allocated buffer while parsing a specially crafted OBJ file. This could allow an attacker to disclose sensitive information.
Risk Assessment
Opening a malicious OBJ file may lead to leakage of process memory data. The risk affects engineering workstations processing untrusted files.
Recommendation
Update Solid Edge SE2023 to version V223.0 Update 3 or later. Avoid opening OBJ files from untrusted sources.
Other vulnerabilities in Solid Edge
