Zabbix Frontend Authentication Bypass Vulnerability
Zabbix - Frontend · Listed in the CISA KEV since 2022-02-22. This indicates confirmed attacks in production environments.
Required action: Apply updates per vendor instructions.
CVE-2022-23131
CriticalCVSS 9.1KEVSummary
When SAML SSO authentication is enabled (non-default), session data can be modified by a malicious actor because the user login stored in the session was not verified. An unauthenticated attacker may exploit this to escalate privileges and gain admin access to Zabbix Frontend.
Risk Assessment
An attacker could gain administrative control over Zabbix Frontend, leading to full access to monitoring and infrastructure configuration. Requires SAML enabled and knowledge of a username (or the guest account if enabled).
Recommendation
Upgrade Zabbix to a version containing the fix; if not possible, consider disabling SAML SSO or restricting access to the interface. Verify that the guest account is disabled.

Original NVD description (English source)
In the case of instances where the SAML SSO authentication is enabled (non-default), session data can be modified by a malicious actor, because a user login stored in the session was not verified. Malicious unauthenticated actor may exploit this issue to escalate privileges and gain admin access to Zabbix Frontend. To perform the attack, SAML authentication is required to be enabled and the actor has to know the username of Zabbix user (or use the guest account, which is disabled by default).
