CVE-2019-25778

HighCVSS 8.2
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

SeaCMS through 8.7 contains an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability that allows remote attackers to manipulate database queries by injecting SQL through the rlist[] array parameter. Attackers can send GET requests to /comment/api/index.php with crafted rlist[] values using backtick-quoted variables and extractvalue to extract database information via error messages.

Risk Assessment

An unauthenticated attacker can exfiltrate database data, including credentials and other sensitive information. Exploitation evidence has been observed in the wild.

Recommendation

Update SeaCMS to a version later than 8.7. In the meantime, consider deploying a WAF or restricting access to /comment/api/index.php.
