TVT NVMS-1000 devices allow GET /.. Directory Traversal, which allows access to files outside the web root. The vulnerability can be exploited to read sensitive system files.
Risk Assessment
An attacker could read arbitrary files from the device, including configuration files containing credentials or other sensitive data. This could lead to further privilege escalation and device compromise.
Recommendation
Update TVT NVMS-1000 device firmware to the latest version if the vendor has released a fix. If updating is not possible, restrict access to the device interface from untrusted networks.
