Summary

Dogfood CRM version 2.0.10 contains a remote command execution vulnerability in the spell.php script used by its mail subsystem. The vulnerability arises from unsanitized user input passed via a POST request to the data parameter, which is processed by the underlying shell without adequate escaping, allowing attackers to inject arbitrary shell commands.

Risk Assessment

An unauthenticated attacker can execute arbitrary commands on the server, potentially leading to full system compromise and access to CRM data. This could result in leakage of sensitive information.

Recommendation

Update Dogfood CRM to a version that fixes this vulnerability, or apply temporary mitigations such as input validation and restricting access to spell.php.
