CVE-2006-4159

High
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Multiple PHP remote file inclusion vulnerabilities exist in Chaussette 080706 and earlier. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary PHP code by supplying a malicious URL in the _BASE parameter to scripts in the Classes/ directory, including Evenement.php, Event.php, Event_for_month.php, Event_for_week.php, My_Log.php, My_Smarty.php, and possibly Event_for_month_per_day.php.

Risk Assessment

This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the server, potentially leading to full system compromise, data theft, or malware installation.

Recommendation

Update Chaussette to a version later than 080706 as soon as possible, or apply patches that prevent path injection into the _BASE parameter. If updating is not feasible, disable or restrict access to the vulnerable scripts in the Classes/ directory.
