CVE-2006-3475

High
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Multiple PHP remote file inclusion (RFI) vulnerabilities in free QBoard 1.1 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code by supplying a URL in the qb_path parameter to index.php, about.php, contact.php, delete.php, faq.php, features.php, and history.php. This is a different set of vectors than CVE-2006-2998.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can remotely execute arbitrary PHP code on the server, leading to full compromise of the application and potentially the entire server. The risk is critical because no authentication is required.

Recommendation

Immediately update free QBoard to a version that fixes the vulnerability, or disable the application if an update is not possible. Additionally, disable the allow_url_include option in the PHP configuration.
