Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in DUware DUforum 3.1, and possibly other versions, allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the iMsg parameter to messages.asp, iFor parameter to post.asp or forums.asp, or id parameter to userEdit.asp. Vectors 1 and 3 were later reported to affect version 3.0.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can gain unauthorized access to the forum database, steal or modify user data and content, leading to a breach of confidentiality and integrity of the system.

Recommendation

Immediately update DUware DUforum to the latest available version or apply security patches. If an update is not possible, implement input filtering for the iMsg, iFor, and id parameters.
