CVE-1999-1062

HP Laserjet printers with JetDirect cards, when configured with TCP/IP, allow remote attackers to bypass print filters by directly sending PostScript documents to TCP ports 9099 and 9100.

Attackers can send malicious documents, potentially leading to unauthorized access to printing systems and financial or reputational losses for the organization.

It is recommended to block access to ports 9099 and 9100 on firewalls and implement appropriate print filters to minimize risk.
