Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
Weblate 4.11.1 through 2026.7.1 contains an argument-injection vulnerability in its Mercurial backend. Repository filenames beginning with - could be interpreted as Mercurial options instead of literal paths. An authenticated user with project-scoped component.edit permission could exploit this through a Mercurial-backed RESX component using the Update RESX files add-on, potentially executing arbitrary commands with the privileges of the Weblate service account. This issue has been patched in version 2026.8.
Nicotine+ is a graphical client for the Soulseek peer-to-peer network. Prior to version 3.3.11, a modified remote client can send zlib-compressed peer messages containing a decompression bomb, exhausting available memory of the recipient's operating system. This issue has been patched in version 3.3.11.
NVIDIA DeepStream contains a vulnerability where an attacker could cause an integer overflow by supplying crafted tensor dimensions in a YAML configuration file. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service, information disclosure, and data tampering.
Prior to version 1.18.7, a signed integer overflow vulnerability in s2.NewDict() allows an attacker to bypass repeat index validation by supplying a dictionary with a uvarint-encoded repeat value exceeding MaxInt64. When Dict.Encode() is subsequently called, the overflowed negative repeat value causes an out-of-bounds memory access via unsafe.Pointer arithmetic, crashing the process with SIGSEGV. This issue has been patched in version 1.18.7.
Webmin before version 2.650 contains an XSS vulnerability that can be exploited when a user clicks a malicious link to their server. An attacker can execute arbitrary commands in the user's context.
Access to the service menu is obfuscated but possible with only physical access. This menu exposes sensitive information such as serial numbers, MAC addresses, and WiFi network and password.
The firmware for the EVbee DC-80 has a weak hardcoded root password, which allows attackers to login as root using the SSH daemon that is exposed to the network.
ClipBucket v5 through 5.5.3-#197 contains a time-based blind SQL injection vulnerability in the language update function where the language_id parameter is concatenated unescaped into the WHERE clause of an UPDATE statement. An authenticated administrator with basic_settings permission can inject arbitrary SQL payloads to extract or modify database contents.
ClipBucket v5 through 5.5.3-#197 contains a time-based blind SQL injection vulnerability in the admin video edit function where the videoid parameter is concatenated into an UPDATE statement without proper escaping. An authenticated administrator with video_moderation permission can inject arbitrary SQL commands to extract or modify database contents.
Pardus Parental Control before 0.7.0 contains an incorrect authorization vulnerability in the polkit policy that allows unprivileged local users to disable parental controls as root. Attackers can invoke PPCActivator.py with the --disable argument via pkexec to remove all restrictions including DNS filtering and application limits without authentication.
CTranslate2 before 4.8.1 contains an out-of-bounds heap read vulnerability in the binary model loader when deserializing string fields without null terminators. Attackers can craft malicious model files to trigger heap memory reads past buffer boundaries, causing crashes or disclosing adjacent heap memory contents.
CTranslate2 before 4.8.1 contains a heap-based buffer overflow in the binary model loader that fails to validate payload length against allocated buffer size. Attackers can craft malicious model files with oversized payload lengths to write past heap allocation boundaries, causing crashes or arbitrary code execution.
A vulnerability was identified in mahonelau kykms up to 8f130c2d85842d5b44caae78cc46d65e505949f7. The impacted element is the function QueryGenerator.doMultiFieldsOrder of the file QueryGenerator.java of the component SqlInjectionUtil. The manipulation of the argument column leads to SQL injection. Remote exploitation is possible, and the exploit is publicly available and might be used. This product follows a rolling release approach, so version details are not provided. The vendor was contacted but did not respond.
In wsl-pro-service before 0.1.19ubuntu3, the service component which runs as root inside each WSL instance attaches the instance to Ubuntu Pro by executing the pro client with the Ubuntu Pro token passed as a command-line argument (pro attach <token>). On systems where /proc is mounted without process-hiding mitigations (such as hidepid), which is the default in WSL, an unprivileged local user or process in the same WSL instance can read the token from /proc/<pid>/cmdline while the attach process is running. The leaked token could then be used to attach other machines to the victim's Ubuntu Pro subscription and gain unauthorized access to Ubuntu Pro services.
NVIDIA ConnectX and Bluefield contain a vulnerability in a control register, where a user with VF access could cause improper access control for the register interface by sending a malicious command to the firmware. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service.
Seeyon A6 collaborative office automation platform contains an unauthenticated SQL injection vulnerability in the attach_ids parameter of the attachment download endpoint that allows remote attackers to extract arbitrary database contents without prior authentication. Attackers can inject UNION-based SQL statements through the attach_ids request parameter in downloadAtt.jsp to retrieve sensitive information including credentials and system configuration data. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-17.
Apache Polaris allows an authenticated principal with permission to create or update Iceberg table properties to set FileIO client settings such as s3.endpoint in table metadata. In versions < 1.8.0, Polaris may use these settings to construct its server-side FileIO client, potentially redirecting storage traffic to a host chosen by the table writer and exposing authentication material.
Insertion of sensitive information into sent data vulnerability in Parla Auto Automotive Trading Limited Company DetaWix Mobile Web Portal allows Accessing Functionality Not Properly Constrained by ACLs. This issue affects DetaWix Mobile Web Portal: before v1.0.19.
An improper authorization vulnerability exists in the handling of sub-workflow tasks in Apache DolphinScheduler before 3.4.3. An authenticated user who does not have permission to access a target project can reference and invoke a workflow belonging to that project through a sub-workflow task. The system does not properly verify whether the user has permission to execute the referenced workflow or access its project, allowing bypass of project-level authorization controls and execution of workflows in unauthorized projects.
An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the protection of Actuator endpoints in Apache DolphinScheduler before 3.4.3. The application determines whether authentication is required by matching the incoming request path against protected Actuator paths. By sending a specially crafted request containing a percent-encoded path, a remote unauthenticated attacker can cause the security check to fail to recognize the request as targeting a protected endpoint. As a result, the attacker may bypass authentication and access otherwise restricted Actuator endpoints, potentially exposing operational or configuration information and, depending on the enabled endpoints and application configuration, allow access to sensitive management functionality.
