Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
AVideo through c3edcc274c389816d434acadac07ee78eaf330c1 uses cryptographically weak uniqid() values for RTMP publish keys in LiveTransmition, reducing key entropy to approximately one million possibilities per creation second. Attackers who know the channel creation time can brute-force the five-digit microsecond component to forge valid stream keys and broadcast content as the channel owner.
Dell OpenManage Server Administrator, versions prior to 11.1.0.3, contains a Partial String Comparison vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Denial of service.
Dell OpenManage Server Administrator, versions prior to 11.1.0.3, contains a Missing Authentication for Critical Function vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Denial of service.
The FluentAuth WordPress plugin in versions up to and including 2.1.2 has insufficient verification of data authenticity, allowing identity spoofing. An attacker could exploit this to impersonate another identity within the system.
A flaw was found in the foreman_ansible plugin's Ansible inventory API. The controller builds its host query using an unscoped Host.where call that does not enforce the search filter associated with the caller's view_hosts permission. An authenticated user whose host visibility is restricted by a permission filter can supply arbitrary host IDs within their organization and receive the full Ansible inventory for those hosts, including parameter values marked as hidden.
In Eclipse Ankaios versions 0.6.0 to before 1.0.4, `LogRule::matches` in the agent control-interface authorizer stops at the first wildcard pattern in a single rule instead of evaluating later entries, which can cause deny `LogRule` entries to be skipped and allow unauthorized access to another workload's logs.
A flaw was found in the foreman_ansible plugin's Ansible override values API. The destroy action resolves the target LookupValue record by ID without verifying it belongs to an AnsibleVariable the caller is authorized to edit. An authenticated user with the edit_ansible_variables permission can delete any LookupValue by ID, including override values for Ansible variables outside their permission filter scope and override values belonging to Puppet smart class parameters.
The NeuVector admission webhook silently excludes containers from policy evaluation when their image path matches one of three hardcoded service mesh sidecar images. Since the image path is entirely controlled by the workload author, any user capable of deploying workloads can evade admission deny rules simply by naming their image path after one of these sidecar images.
The Checkout Field Manager (Checkout Manager) for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before version 7.9.7 does not properly validate the ownership of an attachment before deleting it, allowing any authenticated user such as a customer to delete arbitrary media attachments belonging to other users.
The Checkout Field Manager (Checkout Manager) for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 7.9.7 does not properly validate the ownership of an attachment before deleting it. This allows any authenticated user, such as a customer, to delete arbitrary media attachments belonging to other users.
@fastify/static is a Fastify plugin that serves static files from a configured root directory. In versions before 10.1.4, on a case-insensitive filesystem such as Windows or the default macOS volume, a route guard or allowedPath restriction can be bypassed by altering the letter case of a path segment, because the route matcher is case-sensitive while the filesystem is not. As a result, an unauthenticated request can read a file that a route guard or allowedPath was configured to protect.
The rancher-extension-stackstate extension in SUSE Observability exposes service tokens in plain configuration or insecure locations rather than managing them securely. An attacker with minimal access could obtain the token to gain unauthorized access or escalate privileges within the observability environment.
The Event Booking Manager for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 5.6.0 does not restrict who can view its stored payment gateway configuration. This allows users with Contributor-level access and above to read the site's PayPal and Stripe credentials, including their secret keys.
The Motors WordPress plugin before 1.4.121 does not verify that a request is authorized to view a user's non-published listings before returning them. This allows unauthenticated attackers to read any author's draft, pending and private car listings — including titles, prices, media URLs and seller notes — by supplying only the target's numeric user id.
The Master Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin before 3.1.9 does not perform an authorization check on the AJAX action that deactivates its Popup Builder popups, relying only on a nonce that is publicly output to every visitor. This allows unauthenticated attackers to permanently disable any popup on the site.
The EWWW Image Optimizer WordPress plugin before 8.7.7 does not properly escape image attribute values when it rewrites page output. This allows authenticated users with author-level access and above to inject arbitrary JavaScript that is stored in published content and executes in the browser of any user who later views the affected page.
The Invisible Anti-Spam & CAPTCHA — reCAPTCHA Alternative for All Forms WordPress plugin before 5.1.1 does not check the user's capabilities in its message deletion AJAX action, and only tests that a nonce parameter is present rather than validating it. This allows any authenticated user, such as a subscriber, to permanently delete every form submission the plugin has stored.
The Active Woot Products Tables for WooCommerce. 100% FREE WordPress plugin before 2.1.3 does not have authorisation and CSRF checks in some of its AJAX actions. This allows any authenticated users, such as subscriber, to change the title of arbitrary posts, pages and products.
The Autopay WordPress plugin before 5.0.1 does not enforce the signature on one of its payment callbacks. This allows unauthenticated users to disclose and delete the stored payment parameters of other customers' orders.
The Paid Membership Subscriptions WordPress plugin before 3.0.9 does not verify that the amount and currency reported by the payment provider match the pending payment before completing it. This allows unauthenticated users to obtain a paid membership by paying an arbitrary lower amount.
