Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
In versions prior to 0.5.0 of Remote Attestation TLS Clients for Rust and Go, RA-TLS challenge verifiers accepted quotes bound to the certificate public key and client nonce but not to the active TLS session. An attacker who obtained an enclave TLS private key could relay a genuine quote onto another connection, causing clients to accept an attacker-terminated connection as the attested enclave. This issue is fixed in 0.5.0.
In versions prior to tdx-v0.2.43 and tdx-gpu-v0.6.27, Enclave OS Virtual placed the certificate public-key hash and client nonce in quote ReportData but omitted a value bound to the active TLS session. An attacker who obtained an enclave TLS private key could relay a genuine quote onto another connection, causing a relying party to accept an attacker-terminated connection as the attested enclave. This issue is fixed in tdx-v0.2.43 and tdx-gpu-v0.6.27.
In versions prior to privasys-v0.5.1-go1.26.5, Privasys Go (a fork of Go with RA-TLS support) in challenge mode bound quote ReportData to the certificate public key and client nonce but not to the active TLS session. An attacker who obtained an enclave TLS private key could relay a genuine quote onto another connection, causing a relying party to accept a handshake terminated by the attacker as an attested enclave connection. This issue is fixed in privasys-v0.5.1-go1.26.5.
Aegisub versions 3.2.0 through 3.4.2 automatically load Automation scripts referenced in ASS subtitle project metadata without asking whether the user trusts the scripts or their authors. Opening a crafted ASS file can execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the Aegisub process; in versions 3.4.0–3.4.2, inconsistent NUL handling also allows a crafted ASS/Lua polyglot to execute itself. The vulnerability is fixed in Aegisub 3.5.0.
Vikunja versions prior to 2.4.0 store password-reset, email-confirmation, and account-deletion tokens in the user_tokens table in plaintext. An attacker with read access to the database can immediately use pending tokens to take over user accounts without knowing passwords. Version 2.4.0 fixes the issue.
Vikunja versions 1.0.0 through 2.3.0, when an administrator enables the per-provider emailfallback option on an OpenID Connect provider, links an SSO login to a pre-existing local account using only the email claim from the IdP, without checking email_verified or requiring the account password. An attacker with a token carrying a victim's email can log in as that victim without consent. Version 2.4.0 fixes the issue.
Vikunja version 2.3.0 allows a scoped API token limited to the oauth.authorize permission to call POST /api/v1/oauth/authorize, obtain an OAuth authorization code, and exchange it for a normal bearer JWT and refresh token. The resulting credentials are not restricted by the original token's permissions, granting access to routes outside its declared scope. Version 2.4.0 fixes the vulnerability.
In versions prior to privasys-v0.8.1, Privasys rustls (a fork of the rustls TLS library with RA-TLS support) emitted RA-TLS challenge certificates whose quote ReportData was bound to the certificate public key and client nonce but not to the active TLS session. An attacker who obtained an enclave TLS private key could relay a genuine quote onto another connection, causing a relying party to accept an attacker-terminated connection as the attested enclave. This issue is fixed in privasys-v0.8.1.
In versions prior to wasm-v0.40.0, Enclave OS Mini (a Rust-based runtime for confidential applications inside Intel SGX enclaves) in the RA-TLS challenge certificate path placed the certificate public-key hash and client nonce in quote ReportData but omitted a value bound to the active TLS session. An attacker who obtained an enclave TLS private key could relay a genuine quote onto another connection, causing a relying party to accept an attacker-terminated connection as the attested enclave. This issue is fixed in wasm-v0.40.0.
In versions prior to 2026.9.1, Wizarr (an advanced user invitation and management system for media servers) evaluated wizard step Markdown in the application's non-sandboxed Jinja2 environment with application globals exposed. An authenticated user able to create steps, or an administrator importing an untrusted bundle through POST /settings/wizard/import, could execute arbitrary Python when rendering the stored step, potentially leading to OS command execution, disclosure of the Flask SECRET_KEY, access to connected service credentials and the database, and stored cross-site scripting. This issue is fixed in 2026.9.1.
In versions prior to 1.1.2, Astron Agent (an agentic workflow platform for building and running AI agents) selected LocalExecutor in the default workflow code-node path, which supplies complete Python builtins to dynamic code execution without the documented sandbox restrictions. An authenticated low-privilege tenant can execute code as root in the core-workflow container and use shared service and database credentials to bypass application-level tenant checks, read or modify other tenants' data, and disrupt shared services. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.2.
In versions prior to tinacms 3.14.0 and @tinacms/app 2.5.14, the /~/* admin preview route in Tina (a headless CMS) can turn an attacker-controlled hash-router splat into an off-origin iframe URL, while expectedOrigin for the GraphQL message channel is derived from that same URL. An unauthenticated attacker can send a crafted link to a signed-in editor, cause the admin to frame an attacker origin, and have that frame treated as the trusted preview, allowing GraphQL reads or mutations with the editor's credentials. This issue is fixed in tinacms 3.14.0 and @tinacms/app 2.5.14.
Tina (headless CMS) versions prior to 0.2.1 assign a rich-text node.url value directly to an anchor href without validating the URL scheme in the tina-markdown element. A content author can store a link using a script-capable scheme, and a visitor clicking the rendered link executes attacker-controlled script in the site's origin. The issue is fixed in version 0.2.1.
Tina (headless CMS) versions prior to 3.0.0 — @tinacms/cli reads Git branch values from VERCEL_GIT_COMMIT_REF, GITHUB_BRANCH, or HEAD and interpolates the raw value into the API URL and JavaScript string literals in generated code. A crafted Git-valid branch name containing a quote can terminate the generated string and inject an expression that executes when the generated client module is imported during a preview build. The issue is fixed in version 3.0.0.
Shiny for Python is a framework for building interactive web applications in Python. From 1.4.0 until 1.6.4, bookmark restore accepts a client-supplied state_id and joins it into the server-side shiny_bookmarks directory without validating that it is a single safe path segment. An unauthenticated request can use parent-directory segments or an absolute path to make the server open input.json and values.json outside the bookmark store, even when bookmark_store is set to disable. In applications configured with bookmark_store set to server and using ui.input_file(), the restore handler can additionally copy and expose an attacker-selected file from an attacker-selected directory. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.4.
Mindwtr is a free offline-first task management application for desktop and mobile. Prior to 1.1.5, the mobile application writes the Cloud sync bearer token and WebDAV password to unencrypted AsyncStorage under @mindwtr_cloud_token and @mindwtr_webdav_password. A party with access to the application database or an exposed device backup can recover these credentials and use them to access the user's synchronized tasks and attachments. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.5.
CiviForm simplifies applications for government benefits programs by reusing applicant data across multiple benefit applications. Prior to 3.33.0, GET /admin/tiDash/editClientForm/:accountId verifies that the requester is a Trusted Intermediary but showEditClientForm performs a raw lookupAccount(accountId) without confirming that the citizen account belongs to the requester's trustedIntermediaryGroup. An authenticated Trusted Intermediary can enumerate accountId values and read the applicant display name, including the citizen's name and email address, for accounts outside the intermediary's group. This issue is fixed in version 3.33.0.
Jexactyl is a customisable game management panel and billing system. From 4.0.0 until 4.0.5, the POST /api/client/billing/free/process endpoint accepts a client-controlled server_id and loads the server without restricting the lookup to servers owned by the authenticated account. On installations with billing enabled, an authenticated user can renew or unsuspend another tenant's billable server when its renewal_date is non-null and more than seven days away, even without a subuser relationship to that server. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.5.
Jexactyl versions prior to 4.0.5 — the POST /api/client/billing/stripe/process endpoint accepts a client-supplied Stripe Checkout Session when payment_status is paid but does not compare amount_total or currency with the referenced order and configured billing currency. An authenticated client can complete a lower-value or mismatched-currency payment and cause the order to be processed. The issue is fixed in version 4.0.5.
Contao is an Open Source CMS. From version 5.7.0 until 5.7.12, TableAccessVoter::hasAccessToModule() in core-bundle/src/Security/Voter/DataContainer/TableAccessVoter.php caches authorization decisions using only $tokenHash, a hash of the user's security token, and omits the table returned by getDataSource(). If one request first checks a table allowed to the user and then a different denied table, the voter can reuse the allowed result, while DefaultDataContainerVoter can convert an incorrect abstention into a grant. A low-privileged backend user can consequently read, create, update, or delete records in tables outside assigned module permissions, including tables containing member or newsletter-subscriber data. This issue is fixed in version 5.7.12.
