Weekly CVE digest

One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.

This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.

I agree to receive the weekly CVE digest at the address above. I can withdraw this consent at any time using the link in the footer of every message.

CVE-2026-52853
Medium

Docmost is open-source collaborative wiki and documentation software. Prior to 0.90.1, an authenticated workspace ADMIN can use the workspace invitation flow to invite an external email address with the OWNER role because the role ceiling does not prevent ADMIN users from granting privileges above their own. When the invitation is accepted, the new account receives OWNER-level permissions, allowing the ADMIN to create a backdoor OWNER account or promote a colluding external user to the workspace's highest privilege level. This issue is fixed in version 0.90.1.

CVE-2026-52850
Medium

Docmost is open-source collaborative wiki and documentation software. Prior to 0.90.1, an authenticated workspace member who does not belong to a private space can call the transclusion / sync-block lookup API with a known sourcePageId and transclusionId pair because the lookup does not enforce private space membership before resolving the source page. The API can return confidential sync-block content and source page metadata even though the normal page APIs deny access to the same page. This issue is fixed in version 0.90.1.

CVE-2026-48073
Medium

Docmost is open-source collaborative wiki and documentation software. From 0.70.0 until 0.80.1, a low-privileged authenticated user who can edit an exportable page can embed a forged attachmentId that belongs to a restricted page in the same space. Exporting the attacker-controlled page with includeAttachments=true causes the page export flow to read the restricted attachment from storage and include it in the returned ZIP archive even though direct file download denies access. This issue is fixed in version 0.80.1.

CVE-2026-48072
Medium

Docmost is open-source collaborative wiki and documentation software. Prior to 0.80.1, the public avatar and logo image endpoint accepts attacker-controlled fileName path segments and resolves them against local storage without confinement to the intended image directory. An unauthenticated attacker can traverse outside the avatar or logo directory and read local storage objects whose final basename satisfies the route's UUID check. This issue is fixed in version 0.80.1.

CVE-2026-97232
Medium

A vulnerability was determined in volotat Anagnorisis up to 0.4.2. Affected by this vulnerability is the function get_file_content/save_file_content/move_files/start_streaming of the file page.html. This manipulation causes path traversal. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.

CVE-2026-93405
Medium

Mailspring is a fast, cross-platform, open-source email client. Prior to 1.17.0, attachment quick preview converts Markdown, DOCX, and XLSX attachments with Snarkdown, Mammoth, and SheetJS and inserts the resulting HTML into the preview document through innerHTML without sanitization. A remote sender can craft a supported attachment whose converted HTML executes script when a recipient opens quick preview. The preview renderer has no direct Node or Electron access, but injected script can reach the IPC surface exposed to the quick-preview renderer. This issue alone provides script execution in the preview renderer; separate path-traversal and renderer-controlled file-write vulnerabilities are required for the documented persistent code-execution chain. This issue is fixed in version 1.17.0.

CVE-2026-91121
Medium

Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0, attacker-controlled upload filenames used in chat message excerpts were rendered as unescaped HTML. A user able to upload a file and send chat content could place markup in a filename that was then interpreted by chat channel lists, chat summary emails, pinned message bars, reply previews, thread previews, and other excerpt renderers. The issue allowed trusted-HTML injection that altered rendered excerpt content, but JavaScript execution was not demonstrated with default Content Security Policy settings. The advisory states that no confidentiality, integrity, or availability impact was identified, while its structured scoring metadata separately assigns low integrity impact. Sites that disable or relax the default CSP have increased exposure. This issue is fixed in versions 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0.

CVE-2026-91120
Medium

Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0, provider-controlled video titles in lazy video embeds could be reparsed as HTML when Discourse generated notification emails or chat summaries. A user with standard posting privileges could create a post for an enabled YouTube, Vimeo, or TikTok provider whose title contained markup, and the email and chat-summary rendering path would place that markup into the output instead of treating it solely as text. Recipients using HTML-capable email clients could see injected content, potentially including event handlers, but the issue did not directly expose a Discourse browser session or affect the forum page itself. Lazy video embeds must be enabled, which is the default configuration. This issue is fixed in versions 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0.

CVE-2026-91119
Medium

Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0, the topic small-action and nested-activity-log components interpolated the free-form action_code_who value into mention-link href attributes without URL encoding. A quote-bearing display name could terminate the intended URL attribute and inject attacker-controlled elements into the trusted rendered markup. Although the visible mention text was escaped, the unencoded path component allowed stored HTML injection when another user viewed the affected topic action or activity log. This issue is fixed in versions 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0.

CVE-2026-81508
Medium

In ESP-IDF versions 5.5.5, 6.0.1, and 6.1, the BlueDroid A2DP sink function btc_a2dp_sink_handle_inc_media() reads a timestamp field from the media buffer before validating that the packet contains that field. A paired BR/EDR audio source within radio range can send a malformed A2DP packet, causing an out-of-bounds read into adjacent heap memory and limited disclosure of heap contents.

CVE-2026-61811
Medium

In Wazuh from 3.8.0 until 4.14.7, the _getattributes() function in src/os_xml/os_xml.c recursively processes every XML attribute without a depth limit while allocating two large local buffers per stack frame. An enrolled agent can submit a Windows EventChannel event with an element containing enough attributes to exhaust the analysisd worker-thread stack, causing a segmentation fault and interrupting log ingestion.

CVE-2026-61784
Medium

xhtml-purifier versions prior to 0.4.3 do not HTML-entity-encode attribute values when serializing sanitized output. In attributeString() the attribute value is concatenated directly into a double-quoted attribute, so an attacker-controlled value can include a double-quote to break out and inject an additional attribute, such as a JavaScript event handler.

CVE-2026-57179
Medium

In Python Social Auth prior to version 5.0.0, the partial-pipeline resume mechanism accepted partial_token as a bearer credential without binding it to the browser session that created it. Applications using resumable partial pipeline steps could allow an attacker to start an authentication flow and cause a victim's browser to resume that attacker-controlled flow.

CVE-2026-57177
Medium

In Python Social Auth prior to version 5.0.0, the LoginRadius backend did not validate OAuth state during the authentication flow. Applications using this backend were vulnerable to login CSRF, and an attacker could cause a victim's browser session to complete authentication using an attacker-controlled LoginRadius token.

CVE-2026-57176
Medium

In Python Social Auth prior to version 5.0.0, the Vend OAuth2 backend used only the numeric Vend user_id as the social-auth UID. When multiple Vend shops authenticate through the same application, users from different shops with the same internal Vend user ID could collide in the social-auth association table.

CVE-2026-57175
Medium

In Python Social Auth prior to version 5.0.0, the SAML backend accepted SAML responses on the Assertion Consumer Service endpoint without verifying that they matched a previously issued AuthnRequest. Applications using SAML account association could allow an attacker with a valid account on a trusted IdP to link the attacker's SAML identity to a logged-in victim's local account.

CVE-2026-54461
Medium

In Habitica from 4.172.1 until 5.48.2, a query parameter on the /api/v3/groups/:groupId/members route is not sanitized before being interpreted as a regular expression. An authenticated caller can supply a computationally expensive regular expression that degrades application performance or halts Node.js processes.
