Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
A null pointer dereference in Windows Message Queuing Queue Manager allows an authorized attacker to deny service over a network.
Insertion of sensitive information into log files in Windows Kernel-Mode Drivers allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
An out-of-bounds read in Windows Management Instrumentation allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
An out-of-bounds read in Windows Print Spooler Components allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network.
A use-after-free vulnerability in Windows DHCP Server allows an authorized attacker to execute code over a network.
Files or directories accessible to external parties in Windows Event Viewer allows an authorized attacker to disclose information over a network.
A buffer over-read in Servicing Stack Updates allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
A heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Biometric Service allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
An out-of-bounds read in Windows Installer allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
An out-of-bounds read in the Windows Universal Disk Format File System Driver (UDFS) allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
An out-of-bounds read in the Windows Wi-Fi Driver allows an authorized attacker to disclose information over an adjacent network.
An out-of-bounds read in Windows Device Association Service allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
Files or directories accessible to external parties in the Windows Bind Filter Driver allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
Improperly implemented security check for standard in Windows PowerShell allows an unauthorized attacker to bypass a security feature over a network.
An out-of-bounds read in Windows GDI allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network.
An out-of-bounds read in Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
Exposure of sensitive system information to an unauthorized control sphere in Windows Sysmain Service allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
A use after free in Microsoft QUIC allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network.
In the Distribution library (registry/client) prior to 3.1.2, the Get() method reads a manifest returned for a digest-pinned request and passes it to distribution.UnmarshalManifest without hashing the body against the requested digest. This allows a malicious or intercepted registry response to substitute attacker-chosen manifest content even when the Docker-Content-Digest header claims the requested value. The bundled pull-through proxy can additionally cache and re-serve the substituted manifest. The issue is fixed in version 3.1.2.
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Windows Installer allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. The issue involves improper reading beyond buffer boundaries.
