Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
In OpenStack Octavia before 18.0.1, the Amphora provider driver did not reject control characters in the L7 policy redirect_url and redirect_prefix fields. The RFC 3986 URL validator percent-encodes control characters before validating, so newlines passed structural checks, but Octavia stored and wrote the raw unencoded value directly into the HAProxy configuration generated on the amphora.
A vulnerability has been found in Moore Threads MTT S80 Driver Package up to 340.150. Impacted is the function sub_140001000 in the library mtdispkm64.sys of the component IOCTL Handler. The manipulation leads to heap-based buffer overflow. An attack has to be approached locally. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
A flaw was found in libstoragemgmt. An attacker with control over a local or virtual storage device could provide specially crafted SCSI VPD page 0x80 data. This malformed data, specifically an untrusted page length field, can lead to a stack buffer overflow in the _sg_parse_vpd_80() function during serial number parsing.
idccms V1.70 is vulnerable to Cross Site Scripting (XSS) in /admin/makeDiy_deal.php.
EMLOG-Pro 2.6.29 contains a XSS vulnerability that enables attackers to upload a malicious shell.
CRMEB Knowledge-Paid System crmeb_zzff_class 1.4.4 has a backend verification function that returns the wrong type of value, causing errors and leaking sensitive information.
An integer overflow in the _BulkInsert_ReadProperty component (/bulk_insert.c) of FalkorDB (Redis module) v4.20.1 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
Improper error handling in the GRAPH.EFFECT component in FalkorDB (Redis module) v4.20.1 leads to a Denial of Service (DoS) within the application.
The graph.UDF in FalkorDB (Redis module) v4.20.1 to v4.20.4 is not registered as a write command, leading to unexpected behavior within the application.
FalkorDB (Redis module) v4.20.1 to v4.20.4 was discovered to contain a buffer overflow in the _Decode_GrB_Matrix function. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
FalkorDB (Redis module) v4.20.1 to v4.20.4 was discovered to contain a stack overflow in the _GetGroup() function (/ops/op_aggregate.c). This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
An out-of-bounds read in the node_token_count/relation_token_count component of FalkorDB (Redis module) v4.20.1 to v4.20.4 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
FalkorDB (Redis module) v4.20.1 to v4.20.4 was discovered to contain a stack overflow in the _ValidateUnion_Clauses function. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input.
Remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability in the RemoteRegisterFunctionService function in Univer v1.0.0-alpha.2. Attackers can execute arbitrary code via a crafted payload.
Remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability in the UniscriptExecutionService.execute() function in Univer v1.0.0-alpha.2. Attackers can execute arbitrary code via a crafted payload.
Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in the serverRequest function in nocobase v2.1.21. Authenticated attackers can scan internal resources via a crafted HTTP request.
SQL injection vulnerability in the checkSQL function in nocobase v2.1.21. Attackers can access sensitive database information via injecting crafted SQL statements.
Prior to version 2.10.6-lts, function-library code running under the LD_PRELOAD sandbox can invoke ctypes.CDLL from an importlib.abc.MetaPathFinder callback so the dlopen call-stack heuristic sees a Python import frame, then use unhooked dlsym with RTLD_NEXT to resolve glibc's real syscall and bypass the sandbox syscall blacklist.
Prior to version 2.10.6-lts, the ToolExecutor LD_PRELOAD sandbox hooks execve, execvpe, and execveat to prevent subprocess creation but does not hook fexecve. An authenticated attacker able to execute tool code can call fexecve to start a process outside the sandbox's intended subprocess policy.
In MaxKB versions 2.7.0 through 2.10.4-lts, the POST /chat/api/{application_id}/chat/{chat_id}/share_chat endpoint verifies only that a conversation exists but does not verify it belongs to the authenticated chat_user_id or the application bound to the caller's token. An attacker with any chat token and a known victim chat_id can create a public ChatShareLink exposing the victim's conversation and PublicFileAccess state making associated files retrievable without credentials, with no revoke path.
