Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
A permissions issue was addressed with additional restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.1. A standard user may be able to view files made from a disk image belonging to an administrator.
An injection issue was addressed with improved validation in macOS Tahoe 26.1. An app may be able to access sensitive user data.
A parsing issue in the handling of directory paths was addressed with improved path validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.1. An app may be able to access sensitive user data.
A denial-of-service issue was addressed with improved input validation in macOS Tahoe 26.1. Visiting a website may lead to an app denial-of-service.
A parsing issue in the handling of directory paths was addressed with improved path validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.3, macOS Sonoma 14.8.3, macOS Tahoe 26.1. An app may be able to access sensitive user data.
This issue was addressed with improved validation of symlinks. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.1. An app may be able to access protected user data.
A logic issue was addressed with improved restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.3, macOS Sonoma 14.8.3, macOS Tahoe 26.2. An app may be able to access protected user data.
A logic issue was addressed with improved restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.1. An app may be able to access sensitive user data.
A permissions issue was addressed with additional sandbox restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.1. An app may be able to break out of its sandbox.
An injection issue was addressed with improved validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.1. An app may be able to access sensitive user data.
This issue was addressed with improved handling of symlinks. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.1. A malicious app may be able to delete protected user data.
A permissions issue was addressed with additional restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.1. An app may be able to access protected user data.
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the Grassroots DICOM library (GDCM). The issue is triggered during parsing of a malformed DICOM file containing encapsulated PixelData fragments. This leads to a segmentation fault due to out-of-bounds memory access from unsigned integer underflow in buffer indexing. It is exploitable via file input; simply opening a crafted malicious DICOM file is sufficient to trigger the crash, resulting in a denial-of-service condition.
Frappe Learning Management System (LMS) prior to version 2.42.0 allowed authenticated attackers to enter JavaScript through the Company Website field of the Job Form, exposing users to an XSS attack. The script could then be executed in the browsers of users who opened the malicious job posting. This issue is fixed in version 2.42.0.
Inappropriate implementation in Toolbar in Google Chrome on Android prior to 143.0.7499.110 allowed a remote attacker to perform domain spoofing via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
Use after free in Password Manager in Google Chrome prior to 143.0.7499.110 allowed a remote attacker to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
The VDatePicker component in Vuetify versions 2.0.0 to 3.0.0 does not neutralize the title date, allowing unsanitized HTML to be inserted into the page. An attacker can exploit the 'title-date-format' property to pass a function whose output is assigned to innerHTML without sanitization, leading to XSS.
A vulnerability was detected in ggml-org whisper.cpp up to 1.8.2. Affected is the function read_audio_data of the file /whisper.cpp/examples/common-whisper.cpp. The manipulation results in use after free. The attack requires a local approach. The exploit is now public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
A security vulnerability has been detected in haxxorsid Stock-Management-System up to fbbbf213e9c93b87183a3891f77e3cc7095f22b0. It affects an unknown function in model/User.php where manipulation of the `employee_id`, `id`, or `admin` arguments leads to SQL injection. The attack can be initiated remotely and the exploit has been publicly disclosed.
Apache StreamPark directly uses the user's password as the HMAC signing key (e.g., with the HS256 algorithm) when issuing JWT tokens. An attacker can exploit this to perform offline brute-force attacks on the user's password using a captured JWT, or to forge identity tokens if the password is known, leading to complete account takeover.
